Fronts and backs, on your computer
Interleave PDF pages
No files yet. Drop them above. They stay on your computer.
Interleave PDF alternates pages from two files, so a scan of the fronts and a scan of the backs become one document that reads in order. LoveThisPDF copies the pages in this browser. The words stay selectable. The files are not turned into pictures.
Put the fronts first and the backs second. If you flipped the stack and scanned the backs from the last sheet, reverse the second file. When one file is longer, the extra pages are added at the end. Unlock password-protected files on your computer first. The PDFs you dropped stay on disk. Close the tab and the working files are gone.
They stay on your computer. Nothing is uploaded.
How to interleave two PDFs
- Drop two PDFs. The first file is the fronts. The second is the backs.
- Use the arrows if the backs landed on top.
- Keep the second file in scan order, or reverse it.
- Interleave and download. The files you dropped stay on disk.
Merge fronts and backs without uploading
Most “interleave pdf” sites take both files and process them on a server. This page copies pages in JavaScript. There is no account and no queue. If it fails, the files never sat on someone else’s disk.
Need the files stacked instead of alternating? Use Merge PDF.
Questions
Can I interleave two PDFs without uploading them?
Yes. LoveThisPDF copies the pages in this tab and writes a new file on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
Will the text stay selectable?
Yes. Pages are copied, not saved as pictures. A scan that was already a picture stays a picture.
Why reverse the second file?
A stack of backs is often scanned from the last sheet after you flip it. Reverse the second file so page 1 of the backs meets page 1 of the fronts.
What if the two files have different page counts?
Pages alternate until one file runs out. The leftover pages from the longer file are added at the end.
Will this change my original PDFs?
No. You download a new file. The PDFs you dropped stay on disk.
